My first contact with the world of circus as a child inspired me and this enthusiasm has stayed with me to this day.
When I saw children in a circus summer holiday project, I knew that I wanted to become part of this world. My first daring acrobatic figures in the lilac tree in my family's garden led to professional training in an acrobatic gymnasetic club. Until I graduated from high school, I was a passionate base in men's and mixed pairs and took part in various national and international competitions. In addition to active competitive sport, I completed my judging and coaching licence for acrobatic gymnastic.
After graduating from high school in Aachen, my passion for acrobatics brought me back to the circus. At the CircArtive School in Gschwend, I first completed a one-year training programme to become a circus trainer. Here I learnt the basics of acrobatics, equilibristics, juggling and aerial acrobatics as well as the ability to pass these skills on to others.
After a further two years, I successfully completed my training as a circus artist. During this time, I specialised in partner acrobatics and handstands as well as my main discipline, trapeze. In addition to my artistic work, I also learnt basic circus skills such as tent construction, lighting and sound technology and rigging.
From 2021 till 2025, I studied trapeze at the Academy for Circus and Performance Art at Fontys University of the Arts (ACAPA) in Tilburg, Netherlands.
Circus in its various forms constantly presents new challenges that drive me and give me the opportunity to take the audience out of their everyday lives and into another world.
